Our philosophy at Elite Basketball Training is to develop the complete basketball player. In order to accomplish this, there is a serious focus on basketball skill development. Our players spend their basketball training sessions working on a specific skill that we have designated for that day or a series of multiple basketball skills in order to improve various aspects of their game. Either way, there is a specific approach to developing a players skills. This approach includes the following steps:
Basketball Skill Building and The Rule of Two
Closeout, Slide, Shot Drill
Working on multiple skills in the same drill is a staple at Elite Basketball Training. It goes hand in hand with our philisophy of building the complete basketball player. In this drill below you will see that we incoroporatate defensive skills into a drill that already includes passing, footwork, and shooting or offensive moves.
Only a Division 1 Scholarship Will Do
This week’s college recruiting tip of the week focuses on accepting only a Division 1 college scholarship.

Improvement During the Basketball Season
At Elite Basketball Training, we encourage players to continue to develop their individual skills even during the basketball season because as a head high school boys basketball coach I believe this in vital to the team’s success. Consequently, individual skill development is an integral part of every basketball practice for my high school team. This however, is not the norm.
